Failure to change current business landscape to the next level best of performance constitutes the organisation to be uncompetitive and lagging behind. Therefore, this study proposed a new phenomenon of business strategy that is crowdsourcing practices in order to boost organisational performance by borrowing the concept of crowdsourcing from Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) perspective into zakat perspective. It is because an organisation especially zakat institutions could grasp an opportunity by exploiting “wisdom of crowds” to be resources for the organisation. The study serves to the theoretical contributions by understanding the knowledge of crowdsourcing concept and add the existing body of knowledge relating to the crowdsourcing research and philanthropy field. Meanwhile, the practical contributions, the findings of this study could motivate and encourage the zakat leaders or any other relevant institutions to embark and leverage crowdsourcing practices in their organisations for the sake of improving their organizational performance. Lastly, the findings of this study may offer information related to crowdsourcing in preparing policy and strategic plan of an organisation 2019 Conference or Workshop Item PeerReviewed application/pdf en https://repo.uum.edu.my/id/eprint/31657/1/1st%20KEIZAC%2099-111%202019.pdf Mansor, Mohd Fitri and Abdul Halim, Hasliza and Ahmad, Noor Hazlina and Abu, Noor Hidayah (2019) Borrowing the Concept of Crowdsourcing Practices to Boost Organisational Performance: from Small Medium Enterprises (SME’s) Perspective Into Zakat Perspective.
