Summary:The purpose of this study was to examine learning style (deep, surface and strategic) preferences among form four students in Sik, Kedah Darul Arnan. The sample of this study comprised 200 form four students from three major schools in the district of Sik : Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Sik, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama Sik and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Chepir. The RASI questionaire (The Revised Approaches to Studying Inventory) which consisted of 30 questions was administered to 200 respondents. The result of this study indicated a significant positive relationship between deep approach and the respondent's achievement in Mathematics. The ANOVA results showed significant differences between students level of achievement in deep approach. High achievers tended to use more deep approach compared to low achievers. This study also showed that female students were more likely to use the deep approach method compared to the male students. Furthermore, the regression analysis also showed deep approach as a significant predictor in mathematics achievement. In general, the study suggested that the students used deep approach to a certain extent in their learning.
