Summary:This study aims to identify the factors that most motivate prospective graduates in the School of Computer Engineering Computer and Communication, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), Perlis to work in the private sector. The goal is to examine the relationship between the research conducted in the field with existing theories of motivation. The methodology used in this study by using questionnaire. The questionnaires were distributed in person to prospective graduate in the School of Computer and Communication Engineering UniMAP, which is a sample for this study. The collected data is then processed and analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The scope of the study involves only prospective graduate School of Computer and Communication Engineering. The findings of this study would be a worthwhile guide to the Human Resources Division (HRD), the Office of the State Secretary (SS), Wisma Darul Aman and also to managers and human resources professionals in the private sector. Their role in selecting the best talent is important to compete with their rival companies in the market. The study conducted showed that the motivations are complex. In addition, the findings also suggested that motivational factors are not focused on one factor alone, but should be diversified.
