Description
Summary:In line with the requirements of 21st-century learning, the use of a digital mind map was seen to be able to support learning based on the constructivism theory, where student-centred learning is highly emphasized. Therefore, this study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of using digital mind-map (Coggle) among Form 4 students in writing Bahasa Melayu comprehension. This study uses quantitative and pre-experimental single group design. A total of 40 Form 4 students were selected using purposive sampling as the respondents in this study. This study uses pre and post-test instruments. The pre-test and post-test data were collected and analyzed using statistical software, while the quantitative data of the questionnaire were analyzed by focusing on the percentage and frequency. The findings from the t-test showed that the pre-test score had a significant difference from the post-test score (t = -9.885, p = 0.000). This result shows that there was an increase in student achievement during post-test after using a digital mind map (Coggle) in writing Bahasa Melayu. The findings of the questionnaire which test interest and perception also show a high percentage and frequency. This proves that students are positive about the use of a digital mind map (Coggle) in writing Bahasa Melayu comprehension. The implications of the learning process are also discussed in this article.
