Description
Summary:The PPP strategy has become an increasingly important procurement option in both developed and developing countries of the world for delivering public works and services. However, despite an increasing reliance on the public-private partnership strategy, success evaluation of PPP projects is less clear in the normative literature. While success measurement in traditional procurement approaches is relatively straightforward, PPPs, due to their multifarious nature, require more rigour in establishing the explanatory factors and evaluating the extent of their contribution in influencing the success of PPP projects. Using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) approach, this article developed a conceptual framework for evaluating the success of PPP projects. The framework should assist policy makers both in the public and private sectors in objective evaluation of the success of PPP projects.
