Summary:Problem based learning (PBL) is an instructional approach that has been used for over 30 years and continues to gain acceptance in multiple disciplines. It is an instructional learner-centered approach that empowers learners to conduct research, integrate theory and practice, and apply knowledge and skills to develop a viable solution to a defined problem. The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between the experience levels of problem based learning and creativity from the use of interactive multimedia development in graphic subject. Data regarding the background of the students, the experience in using problem based learning and the level of creativity was collected. The number of sample is 10 postgraduate students Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Skudai from Technology and Media Design class. Based on research, there is some or very little and can be ignored relationship between problem based learning and the students’ creativity. Generally, this research shows that students need to use problem based learning in their learning activity in order to produce more effective and efficient learning environment.
