The results revealed that optimum parameters were, temperature of 65°C, pH of 6.8 and inoculum size at 7.0% (v/v); which were used in the kinetic studies of FAUK system using production medium containing 0.75% (w/v) glucose, 1.25% (w/v) yeast extract, 0.45% (w/v) NaCl and 0.10% (v/v) olive oil (Nik Raikhan, 2003). Glucose at 1.25% (w/v) and air flow rate of 1.00 L/min were the best parameters. Kinetic approach was focused on the effect of glucose concentrations and air flow rates to the cell growth and the production of LGT. The results revealed that specific growth, μ was highest with 1.25% (w/v) and flow rate of 1.0 L/min which was 0.12 hour-1.
