It is important because it can be a protection for the landlord or tenant against claims in many situations. The survey normally carried out via visual inspection together with appropriate pictures, some sketches and details of each of defects that will be an evidence if anything affect the building such collapse, damage or so on. Therefore, the landlord or tenant of the building might get their right to claim with the responsible contractor.
