Summary:The purpose of this study is to the investigate relationship between personality traits and job performance at Jabatan Perangkaan Cawangan Sarawak. The method of data collection is used questionnaires that were distributed to the staffs at Jabatan Perangkaan Cawangan Sarawak. There were 100 questionnaires was distributed to the Jabatan Perangkaan Cawangan Sarawak to get the data. In this field only 3 out 5 personality trait was tested which is agreeableness, conscientiousness and neuroticism. SPSS is mainly system that used to done the data analyses. The findings of the study shows that personality traits were have great relationship with job performance especially for the conscientiousness element. The correlation analysis revealed that conscientiousness personality have strong relationship with job performance. Therefore, these findings contribute to a new knowledge and guidelines for the future research in doing the same studies that is personality traits and job performance
