| Summary: | Level of Arabic language proficiency among students in Malaysia is still not at the comfortable level compared with a foreign language in Malaysia. This project will focus on how to develop a software prototype that can assist children in learning Arabic language. Nowadays, the difficulties faced by children is how to spot things in Arabic through an interactive way and most children in Malaysia also presume that Arabic is not interesting and difficult to learn because Arabic learning mostly the less use of graphics in teaching materials. The ADDIE method is chosen because it has a high level in performing development and modification of any type of application and program. The usability of the application is tested with 15 children and the beginner around UiTM Shah Alam. Most of them have strongly agreed and agree with the interface, features and functionality of the application. This application is good especially to children who do not know how to learn Arabic language in a interactive way. It is important to teach children about Arabic language, because all acts of worship of Muslims cannot be separated from the use of Arabic, especially in prayers and pilgrimage. Besides, this application also provides sound to every words and interesting game to help students learn the Arabic language. Hopefully, by using this application, awareness and interest of people towards Arabic learning will increase. |
