Summary: | Covid-19 is an infectious disease that caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. This pandemic is affecting food systems globally that give negative impacts on all four pillars of food and nutrition security which are availability, accessibility, utilization and stability. Therefore, the Covid-19 Pandemic has seeded a serious impact on the food security due to distortion of the supply chain which is needed to be addressed quickly by the government. The objective of this study is to identify the impact and tire most significant impact of Covid-19 towards Food Security. This study used secondary data such as from Google Scholar, Mendeley and Science Direct. Findings shown that impacts of Covid-19 Pandemic towards Food Security include less nutritious food, food prices instability, shifts in food demand, and disturbances in food supply chains. By all of the impact, disturbances in food supply chains appeared to be the most significant impact of Covid-19 towards Food Security. Finally, based on the findings, researcher have suggested some recommendations that would help boosting sustainable for food security. |
