This article aims to explain the manifestation of symptoms through the lens of psychodynamic theory. It seeks to deepen the understanding of the nature of OCD by exploring unconscious processes and defence mechanisms. Furthermore, we will examine how addressing underlying psychological conflicts can complement traditional treatments and potentially improve patient outcomes.
