| Summary: | This study analyses the value of collaborative education approaches to enhance workforce development in Malaysia, focusing on partnerships between educational institutions and industry. Given graduates' challenges, such as a lack of appropriate skills and limited career possibilities, these coordinated efforts strive to close the education-industry divide. The study utilizes a qualitative approach, conducting interviews with industry managers to get insights into the influence of partnership programs, government support, and community engagement on workforce readiness. The data indicate that, while these collaborations significantly improve graduates' employability and skill sets, problems such as unequal access and dependency on government support. The analysis finds gaps in the existing literature and emphasizes the importance of future research customized to the Malaysian environment. Future research directions will include empirical investigations, quantitative analyses, and policy recommendations to improve Malaysia's workforce development and economic growth. |
