SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF NEW IONIC LIQUIDS AND ITS POTENTIAL APPLICATIONS FOR BAMBOO BIOMASS

要約:After complete dissolution of bamboo in [Emim]Gly, the separation of bamboo constituents into cellulose rich-material, hemicelluloses and lignin was possible, via selective solvent precipitation method using acetone/water mixture (7 /3 v/v) and ethanol. The individual constituent was confirmed by FTIR, NMR, HPLC, TGA and CHNS analysis. In terms of efficiency of lignin extraction, the nitrile-based ionic liquids containing Cl perform well compared to [Bmim]Cl. The ionic liquids in the order of increasing extraction efficiency are [Bmim]Cl < [CzCNBim]Cl < [CzCNHEim]Cl < [CzCNAim]Cl < [CzCNBzim]Cl. The increase in heating temperature and time increases lignin extraction, while the increase in particle size and amount of sample loading reduces the extraction efficiency of nitrile-based ionic liquids.
