This study also investigates whether there are correlations between these two variables, with the proficiency of UUM Matriculation Center students in the English placement test. A sample of 294 Matriculation Center students underwent an English placement test. Next they were required to respond to the questionnaire. It was found that the attitude variable was not highly manifested in the students. On the other hand, most of them have moderate levels of motivation.
