| Summary: | The objective of this study is to provide an overview of the level of BCM implementation among Malaysian organizations. Furthermore, this study will also present the initiatives undertaken by the respective government agencies to enhance the effectiveness of BCM and promote the adoption of best practices based on the international standards. For purpose of this study, the data was gathered through several methods of data collection which involved 147 organizations with the effective response rate of 55 percent. The population of this study covers public and private sectors’ organizations which have obtained ISO 27001 and ISO 22301 as these organizations are deemed to possess considerably higher sense of commitment towards embracing BCM best practices. The outcomes of this study revealed that majority of the participating organizations have already established a proper BCM program in place but there is still a need for further improvement in certain areas.
