Therefore, the objective of this research is to identify the level of accessibility tourism in Malaysia based on the perspectives of people with disability by including various types of disabilities. In this research, an online survey was conducted to explore the perceptions of people with disability towards accessibility and measure how far Malaysia had done to reach the standard level of accessibility tourism that are needed based on hotels experiences and challenges. Using nonlinear distribution analysis, this research suggested that challenges faced by people with disability vary significantly by type of disabilities and assistive devices. The results of this research suggest specific facilities need to be designed in a hotel to suits the diverse needs of people with disability. This research also identified the level of awareness of public and staff towards people with disability which was still low and needed to be improved. The findings also suggest that Malaysia has not reach the accessible tourism destination as implemented by the government. To reach the level of standard accessibility that are required in hotels, tourism planners need to cooperate together with main stakeholders that can cater socially, environmentally and financially in order to provide inclusive tourism for tourist of various needs and backgrounds in this country UUM 2023 Monograph NonPeerReviewed application/pdf en https://repo.uum.edu.my/id/eprint/30581/1/14713.pdf Azmy, Muna Maryam (2023) Adaptation of Hotel Facility to The Needs of People with Disabilities in Malaysia (S/O 14713).
