Summary: | The preservation and strengthening of the faith of Muslims can be solved through the legitimacy of the law and the preaching of the deviant teachings of fatwa in the attempt to curb and prevent the deviant teachings from developing in the state of Kedah. The ruling of Quran and Sunnah has stated that the Sunnah Wal Jama'ah(Sunni) is a safe flow of faith and accepted by the majority of Muslims around the world. Similarly, in Malaysia, besides Islam is based on the religion of the Federation, the acceptance of the Sunnah Wal Jama'ah's(Sunni’s) faith in the whole of the Muslims and is guided primarily on the problems of the creed. However, it is undeniable that Muslims in Malaysia, in particular in the state of Kedah, are now squeezed with the emergence of various streams and ideologies that try to distort the holders of the Muslims against the Sunnah Wal Jama'ah (Sunni) members. This article examines the fatwa legislation and Istinbat ( the issuance) fatwa procedures in the state of Kedah directing the fatwa of akidah (faith) or deviant teachings in Kedah. The study was conducted based on the two main forms that were expected to be mutually qualitative and fieldwork research through interviews. The study also worked on the form of analysis of content which was analyzing documents such as Kedah state news and minutes of state fatwa meetings to determine the contents and meaning contained in the document. The issuance of
fatwa procedure is complete under the provisions of the Mufti and Fatwa Enactments (2008). In addition, the fatwa relating to deviant
teachings is through systematic procedures
before the gazetting process is carried out. |
