Summary:Higher education institutions are facing challenges to produce graduates who are not only highly perform and holistically well developed to be prepared for the job market upon graduation. Thus, a good psychosocial development and learning experience is essential for students during their study in Higher education institutions.It is the responsibility of a higher education institution to provide a good learning platform and high impact program which relevant to the demand of the job market.This study employed a survey method and administered to a total of 347 students who have responded to the 62 items questionnaire.The multivariate data analysis (MANOVA) was conducted to test the hypotheses of gender differences in the level of psychosocial development of students.The findings indicated that there was significant difference between male and female students for the Goal Setting factor; where as there was no significant difference between male and female students for the development of Autonomy and the development of Interpersonal Relations.Theoretically, this study provides empirical evidence in explaining the difference students’ psychosocial development based on gender.In practical, it is recommended that higher education institutions to provide equal opportunities for students female and male to develop themselves during their study at the university.
