Summary:Web 2.0 technology is gaining its reputation in the education context and seen as an important approach for teaching and learning in the 21st century.Teachers in the developed countries such as UK and US have been using Web 2.0 in their teaching and learning practice for nearly a decade.Yet, in Malaysia, the integration of Web 2.0 technology is still in its infancy.Teachers and students are using Web 2.0 tools in their daily life such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, but it is more for social networking. Considering these issues, it is crucial to prepare our student teachers with the necessary technology and pedagogical skills to successfully integrate Web 2.0 tools in their future teaching practice.
