Description
Summary:Back pain is one of the symptoms of occupational illness that can affect an individual's current health. Lower back pain is the most common musculoskeletal problem experienced by workers associated with sitting and standing activities for long periods. The main objective of this study is to determine the type of pain related to lower back pain and causative factors. A guided questionnaire was used in data collection and involved 77 respondents with taxi drivers in Kota Setar and Kubang Pasu Districts before and during the Covid 19 pandemic crisis. The raw data obtained were analyzed using SPSS software version 23 and involved descriptive and inference analysis. The results of the T-test and ANOVA analysis showed a significant relationship between lower back pain problems from age, gender, duration of experience as a driver (p), and side work performed by the respondent (p) before, during, and after the pandemic crisis Covid 19. The conclusion of the study found that the age and gender of the respondent, years of experience as a taxi driver, and parttime work is influencing the problem of back pain at the bottom among taxi drivers in the districts of Kota Setar and Kubang Pasu. The Association should provide a comprehensive awareness program to the taxi drivers to curb this disease at an early stage.
