Women play a significant role in the nation's social and economic growth. This study analysed the relationship between leadership and employee motivation on CWB in real estate industry listed in the Global 500 Fortune. A total of 147 female employees participated in the study via online survey. The findings indicated significant inverse relationship between both employee motivation and leadership towards CWB. However, the strength of the relationship is relatively low. Meanwhile, regression analysis showed that, only leadership has a rather diminutive impact on CWB. The implications of the results signalled that organization can potentially decrease, moderate, or prevent CWB behaviours by strengthening its leadership. The study highlighted that CWB not only projecting negative impacts on organisational productivity but also adversely affects the well-being among female employees. Negative outcomes such as increased absenteeism, high turnover rates, reduced focus, and failure to achieve of the organisational goals result from inadequate focus and investment in deterring CWB. Therefore, organisational leadership must develop their capabilities to support the women employees’ personal and professional well-being 2024 Thesis NonPeerReviewed text en https://etd.uum.edu.my/11431/1/depositpermission.pdf text en https://etd.uum.edu.my/11431/2/s828778_01.pdf Jeeva, Ramasamy (2024) A study on counterproductive work behaviour (CWB) among women in Real Estate MNCs in Malaysia.
