The vacuum level was kept at 5 mtorr with argon gas flowing from bottom of the chamber. The plume that was deposited on a glass substrate and was then characterized using Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis, Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) and Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM). Web-like CNTs structures were deposited on the glass substrate. These web-like structures randomly aligned with the size of 99nm to 234nm. TEM images have confirmed these web-like structures are CNTs. VSM results show that the encapsulation of the Fe2O3 catalyst has influenced the magnetic properties of the CNTs.
