Description
Summary:Alcohol addiction is harmful to society, economy and personal health. Its treatments intend to help addicted individuals reduce and finally stop compulsive alcohol use. With the help of biomarkers clinicians expect to observe if drugs can provide an earlier impact on treatment by predicting correct dose. This paper reviews methodologies and applications of the existing electroencephalography (EEG) biomarkers for alcohol addiction treatment. Based on the survey we propose to develop a biomarker for alcohol addiction using EEG.
