Performance analysis of passively Q-switched fibre laser by SWCNT-PVA saturable absorber
The single-wall carbon nanotube-polyvinyl alcohol (SWCNT-PVA) saturable absorber (SA) with ratios of 1:1, 3:2, and 2:3 was utilised to demonstrate a passively Q-switched erbium-doped fibre laser (EDFL). As compared to the EDFL reference, SWCNT-PVA SA of ratio 2:3 was determined to be the best ratio,...

要約: | The single-wall carbon nanotube-polyvinyl alcohol (SWCNT-PVA) saturable absorber (SA) with ratios of 1:1, 3:2, and 2:3 was utilised to demonstrate a passively Q-switched erbium-doped fibre laser (EDFL). As compared to the EDFL reference, SWCNT-PVA SA of ratio 2:3 was determined to be the best ratio, with the lowest loss of 2.68dBm and front shifting to 1557.4620nm. This was evidenced by the highest maximum output power of 3.45mW which revealed the remarkably high Q-factor as intended. For better future outcomes, the proposed laser is expected to have symbolic ramifications in fibre optic sensing, range finding, and biomedical imaging. |
