The test conducted in this study was administrated by the researchers, involving a total of 146 respondents that was selected with purposive sampling method. The instrument used in this study was Chemistry Creativity Test (CCT), comprising 4 different items, covering the topic of Acids and Bases, developed according to the Malaysian context by the researchers. The measurement of CCT was based on three traits of divergent thinking, namely, fluency, flexibility and originality. The findings of the study revealed that, students’ scientific creativity was at the low level, with the mean of 26.99%. This study also revealed that the traits of divergent thinking, that most problematic for them is flexibility. Overall, the students showed better traits of originality, as compared to fluency and flexibility, implying that, their ability to think about unique ideas was better, as compared to their ability to give a good number and relevant types of ideas.
