To render acid groups on the resulting monomer, the acrylated epoxidized palm oil (AEPO) was further reacted with maleic anhydride. The resulting maleinated acrylated epoxidized palm oil (MAEPO) was characterized by FTIR and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (1H NMR).
