Description
Summary:This study explores the recruitment practices of two Multinational Companies (MNCs) in the chemical industry in Japan to trace the current recruitment policies in these MNCs. Commentary is provided for current knowledge in terms of best recruitment practices that could be emulated by local organisations as well as other subsidiaries in the Asia Pacific region. A salient focus of the study is to assess if globalised MNCs are more likely to align their recruitment policies with global trends rather than with the conventional recruitment practices.
