In order for an organization to reach the global market, it can either standardize its business or localize it; there is a debate which method is better for e-commerce. The e-commerce marketplace in Saudi Arabia is growing faster than anytime before. However, the current e-commerce websites in that region are not up to market demand and the global e-commerce website like Amazon.com is not localized to Saudi Arabian market. Therefore, this study is discovering the current studies about e-commerce localization framework components, how to develop localization framework for e-commerce websites in Saudi Arabia, how to validate such a framework and finally develop a proof of concept prototype based on the validated framework. This study is following quantitative research methodology. Based on the literature, this study developed localization framework for Saudi Arabia. E-commerce users from Saudi Arabia have validated this framework. A proof of concept prototype has been developed and validated by e-commerce experts in Saudi Arabia. Detailed information about all of this will be illustrated during this research life cycle in the upcomng seven chapters.
