| Summary: | Through inheritance, the history of education in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia is now one hundred years old. Although these one hundred years have been beset by difficulties, twists and turns, especially at its infancy, UTM has stood its ground. The resoluteness of its leaders has opened windows to progress and maturity and created a reputation that is enviable in this part of the world. UTM is a name to be reckoned with in the annals of education in Malaysia. It has given its service to God, the nation, and the community. The fruits of its labour are the thousands of experts and professionals taking their places in science, technology, education, and management. For 100 years, the country has been familiar with the quality products of this institution. From the nation’s skyscrapers to bridges, to roads and highways, to oil and gas, and without exception to industries, have invariably received the ‘techno’ touch of the graduates from a corner of Jalan Semarak and from the rolling hills of Linden estate, Skudai. |
