Summary: | This paper presents the application of Interior Point Barrier Algorithm, an efficient linear programming algorithm, to solve economic dispatch problems that are suitable for unit commitment problems. Multi-Thread superLU) equation solver is used to solve the power flow. The barrier algorithm also caters for any combination of polynomial cost functions such as polynomial cost functions. This paper uses Q matrix loss formulation. This optimization problem enables the generators whose outputs violate their limit constraints to be handled efficiently and correctly. A case study of IEEE 30 bus system is presented and discussed. |
