Description
Summary:D-shaped optical fiber sensor coated with graphene layer are simulated to observe the enhancement of evanescent field and electric field distribution. The simulation was conducted by using COMSOL Multiphysics where the analyte medium surrounding graphene coated D-shaped are presume petrochemical with 1.40-1.50 RIU. Graphene coated layers have been implemented on the sensing region of d-shaped Optical Fiber Sensor to enhance the sensitivity and selectivity of the sensor performance. The simulated thickness of graphene coating is set to 14µm. We will observe the transmission of light attenuation in the core of Graphene coated D-shaped Optical Fiber Sensor and the Mode Field Diameter where the penetration depth of the sensor will be observed.
