Efficiency of precise point positioning in Peninsular Malaysia from an ephemeris perspective.
Precise point positioning (PPP) is an absolute positioning technique that offer sub-decimeter level accuracy. The accuracy of PPP is dependent on the ephemerides used during processing. This study aims to investigate the effect of ephemerides on the accuracy of PPP in Peninsular Malaysia. PPP soluti...

PPP solution is computed using broadcast, ultra-rapid, rapid, and final ephemerides from the International GNSS Service (IGS) using RTKLIB. The result of PPP solution in Peninsular Malaysia is compared with the result from IGS stations in Europe. PPP in Peninsular Malaysia has a root-mean-squared error (RMSE) of approximately 36 cm in the horizontal and 29 cm in the vertical direction. PPP from precise ephemerides in Europe showed better efficiency compared to PPP in Peninsular Malaysia. The less accuracy of PPP in Peninsular Malaysia can be attributed to two reasons: relatively lower efficiency of orbital product in the region and datum biases from the datum used in ephemerides. 2023-10-05 Conference or Workshop Item PeerReviewed Lee, Hong Sheng and Wan Aris, Wan Anom and Musa, Tajul Ariffin and Ahmad, Anuar (2023) Efficiency of precise point positioning in Peninsular Malaysia from an ephemeris perspective.
