Description
Summary:This study was conducted with the aim of identifying the level of teacher acceptance of the use of Google Classroom while implementing the process of teaching and learning online based on the aspects found in the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) that has been developed by Davis (1989) namely Perceived Usefullness, Perceived Ease of Use, and Attitude Towards Using. This study also aims to see if there is a difference between the level of acceptance of Google Classroom usage with teacher’s age group. In addition, the relationship between attitudes towards use and teacher’s gender is also the purpose of this study was conducted. The sampling method used by the researcher in this study is a simple random sampling method where the total sample involved is 92 teachers from a school in the district of Pasir Gudang in the state of Johore. The research instrument used in this study is a questionnaire that has been distributed to respondents online using Google Forms. This survey question contains 4 sections including respondents' information and has 30 items of questions with a breakdown of 11 items for the Percieved Usefullness, 11 items for the Percieved Ease of Use and 8 items for the Attitude Towards Using. These survey questions have also gone through validity and reliability tests. The data collected was analyzed using IBM Statistical Packages for Social Science (SPSS) version 25.0 software. In conclusion, the findings of the study found that the level of teacher acceptance of the use of Google Classroom during the process of teaching and learning online reached a High level with an overall mean value of 3.03 and a standard deviation of 0.56. This shows that teachers are able to accept new technologies to improve the quality of their teaching, especially when in situations where face-to-face learning is not feasible.
