A recent innovation in construction, the Reinforced Bubble Deck Concrete (RBDC) slab, integrates spherical or elliptical hollow bubbles within the slab for reinforcement, reducing concrete usage without compromising structural integrity. This unconventional approach diverges from traditional methods. The manuscript thoroughly reviews existing literature on the design and testing of Reinforced Bubble Deck Concrete slabs, aiming to explore their diverse characteristics as observed in international research studies. Findings demonstrate that these slabs offer a sustainable and cost-effective alternative to traditional floor slabs.
