Description
Summary:Microfluidics is an emerging technology vital in the bio-medical sector, encompassing LabOn-Chip (LOC), drug delivery, maladies diagnostic, and various healthcare fields. Additionally, its day-by-day research studies on drug discovery, cell sorting, and manipulation enrich bio-medical applications. This article provides an overview of the widely used microfluidic devices that are readily available for the commercial sector, improving medical diagnostics with the optimal transduction approaches for Point-OfCare (POC) applications. On the other hand, some devices still in the development stage are discussed, along with their challenges in commercialization.
