However, this titanium alloy also has disadvantages, namely low hardness, high coefficient of friction, and poor wear resistance. One way to improve the properties of material is by heat treatment. Titanium Ti-6Al-4 V in this study was heat-treated at a temperature of 900 °C for 1 h and the aging process was carried out with temperature variations of 550, 650 and 750 °C each time temperature was 8 h. The tests carried out in this study included tests of wear resistance, surface roughness and microstructure of titanium Ti-6Al-4V.
