The reality of human being as the most perfect creation
is seen by Islam to begin from the piousness of the individual. The goodness of an individual is not seen merely in his social interactions or in being a good citizens. This is because the character within is
an inborn thing which is beyond external influence. In discussing this the writer will study and analyse a well known work written by al-Ghazzali which is the Bidayah al-Hidayah. This is because al-Ghazzali had not only dealt other issues but he had also written on the importance of character building. He believes that only by
focusing and getting guidance JKM Islam and via riyadhah would the human being be able to achieve and fulfill their potential in their
acts, character and ethics. |
