Description
Summary:The main purpose of building a hybrid directory is to solve the conventional directory problem. The lack of searching features makes conventional directory hard to use as most user are used to keyword search compared to browsing method. Hybrid directory is the combination of search engine and directory. It gives user the ability to choose whether to use browsing or to use keyword search in order to search the information they need. There are numerous amount of information in the internet that relate to Halal. But there are no medium that manage and categorized this information in a proper manner to make searching process easier. For Muslims who went or stays abroad they find it hard to get information on Halal. They often reach to a web page which doesn't give a detail or relevant information. However, with the development of the Halal Directory, all the information that relate to Halal is being organize and categorized. User will be able to get a lot of information with just a simple click. Information about Halal restaurants, shop that sells Halal product, Halal ingredients and Halal food additives is ready for searching. Halal Directory combines a few information portals in one. This means, user do not have to go to different website or portal to get information on Halal, instead they can use the features in the Halal Directory as it covers most of Halal information needed.
