Mosques not only act as a place of worship ( i'bdah) for the Muslims but have become a meeting place for them to learn, discuss and carry out humanitarian activities. Furthermore, the continual need in studying tafsir al-Quran in mosques, when compared with the past, requires special expertise and skills to recognise and identify the appropriate methods and approaches. This is considering the fact that the level of understanding of both communities is worlds apart, especially their intensity and strength in accepting the knowledge. The main objectives of this research are to enlighten the community on the development of tafsir al-Quran in mosques, identify the existing sources that are used by the religious teachers and their teaching methodology, and identi@ the available mechanisms and strategies for studying and teaching tafs) at-Qur 'BZ in mosques. The research is conducted through the descriptive and analytical approach, data collection and observation. It will examine the accessible techniques and strategies to teach and learn tafs; al-Qur 'a in mosques. Apart from that, the development of the mosques and the role they play in boosting the religious and educational activities will also be highlighted. In order to grasp and benefit from the virtues of the Qur'iin, this research recommends various approaches for contemporary religious teachers to fblly realise and appreciate the alternative methodologies in conveying the magnificence of the 'Sacred Book'.
