A. Islamic leadership--Palestine Performance--Palestine Thesis (PhD)-- Faculty of Leadership and Management, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, 2017 Numerous studies on organisational culture and leadership describe the concept as a powerful and recognisable compulsion that promotes a company's well-being, which comprised the member's beliefs and values that make up the organisation. It asserts that servant leadership behaviours are associated with a number of outcomes such as individual, employee and organisational performance. Since there is a long list of organizational culture, this study focuses on values which refer to the publicly announced and accepted values that are collectively pursued by organizational members. In particular, the purpose of the study is to investigate the fundamental dimensions of Islamic value system that affect servant leadership and perceived organisational support and have influence on employee performance among Palestinian employees in business sector. In addition, this study ascertains how incorporating contingency theory and organisational support theory is pertinent to developing nations with divergent degrees of explanatory power used in examining the factors of employee performance. The sample of the present study consisted of 220 participants from companies whose leaders are members of the Palestinian Businessmen Association. The data was analysed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) to examine the causal relationships among the study variables. The indirect exploratory effect of the moderators is examined using Multiple-Group Analysis (MGA). The results of the study indicated that servant leadership and perceived organisational support have a significant and positive effect on employee performance in Palestine. Furthermore, the findings demonstrated that perceived organisational support has a partial mediation effect between servant leadership and employee performance. Moreover, the findings fbrther revealed that Islamic value system has a moderating effect on servant leadership and perceived organisational support, which has influence on employee performance. On the other hand, service-oriented morale was not supported as a moderator among the dimensions of Islamic value system. 2018-05-22T07:52:09Z 2018-05-22T07:52:09Z 2017 Thesis http://ddms.usim.edu.my:80/jspui/handle/123456789/16078 en Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia
