Methods: A total number of 121 participants from secondary school students in urban and rural area located in Selangor and Pahang was involved. Two instruments used in this study which is Proactive Active Coping Inventory (PCI) and Specific Event Drug and Alcohol Refusal Efficacy (SEDARE). Results: Results shows most of the sample 66.1% has an intermediate level of coping skill while for drug refusal efficacy most of the sample 97.5% has high result. It also shows that there no significant relationship between coping skill and drug refusal efficacy and no significant difference based on gender or location of the school. Conclusions: These findings suggest that coping skill will not ensure the student’s refusal on drugs. High level of drug refusal efficacy indirectly shows that school based drug prevention programme provide a good impact. Further discussion will emphasize the results. 2017-05-23T08:15:59Z 2017-05-23T08:15:59Z 2015 978 967 440 246 4 http://ddms.usim.edu.my:80/jspui/handle/123456789/14892 ACREDA, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia
