This however is not without striving by women movement and feminist at national level. The aim of this article is to illuminate how women creative initiative of establishing the Gender Technical Unit in the Nigeria National Assembly, facilitated the passage of the Violent against Persons Prohibition Act (A bill that is drafted and sponsored by women movement). This study opines that having such an intermediary is a vital catalyst to successful pursuit of women movement.
