However, sawdust is waste that is produce after manufacturing process and often disposed. In order to investigate the potential of the sawdust recycling, sawdust polymer composite panels are to be manufactured. The mechanical properties of the composite will be compared with each composites panel that has different ratio of sawdust and high density polyethylene. The wood polymer composite of three different ratios are to be produced are 30:70, 40:60, and 50:50. In addition, two different percentage of coupling agent MAPE is used for each set of ratio. The percentage of coupling agent used is 3% and 5% by weight. These composite panels are then tested with the ASTM standard for three different test which are thickness swelling and water absorption test, tensile test and bending test. From these test it is concluded that increase in mechanical properties can be achieve by the higher usage of coupling agent MAPE used in the composite.
