In Malaysia, majority of the SMEs are struggling in low productivity and high cost of brand communication. The most common problem SMEs faced is lack of capital and normally the money is operation running on day-to-day basis. Based on the title of this thesis, which is The Designing Process of Productivity Attributes Towards the SME Industry by Using the Lean Tool, Lean Tools are applied to enhance the productivity of industry. Lean tools are very commonly used in successful and big company and the main purpose of the lean tools is to provide a guideline to improve the company management or to increase the efficiency. In another words, lean is also a strategy for a company to build up the company and run the operation smoothly. Hence, an industry visit was conducted to Detik Kreatif Engineering (DKE) and data was collected in order to carry out the analysis and discussion. The analysis was carried out according to each of the objectives. Firstly, the manufacturing process of the DKE was studied. Secondly, the productivity performance was evaluated, and the barriers was determined by using the 8 Lean Wastes analysis. The barriers determined are workers overtime issues and small working space due to reduction in shop lot size during the economy crisis. Thirdly, a new improvement was proposed by using the Six Sigma method which are DMAIC, Pareto Analysis, one-piece-flow, layout improvement and Kanban board. In short, a new layout is proposed with one-piece-flow arrangement and a Kanban Board was designed to control the performance of the production.
