In this research studies, the performance of transmission or distribution line has been investigated and the fault that caused by Ferranti effect also have been studied. The study is based on the simulation and the proposed research has been done by using MATLAB Simulink. In light load condition or in open-circuit has been observed, the source voltage is lower than the voltage at the load in the simulation. To have better understanding, there are three different lengths of the line that are used to compare the values at the receiving end voltage. There are two methods on reducing the Ferranti effect in electrical grid which by connecting the resistor or inductor in parallel to the load.
