Description
Summary:The objective of this project is to understand and accurately predict tissue damage following a burn, and a bioheat transfer based mathematical models of the skin will be developed. A bioheat model for tissue will be developed, based on the structure of human skin. That is, by taking into account the physical and chemical characteristics of four major layers of human skin: epidermis, dermis, subcutaneous fat, and inner tissue. Temperature at different points of the skin will be determined by using the model created in this study. In other words, the finite difference method will be used to determine the temperature distribution in each layer of the human skin.
