Industries around the globe are dumping huge amount of waste more than we can ever imagine. These waste plays a huge role in pollution and damaging our environment badly. One of the industries producing tremendous amount of waste is metal industry. Metal or steel wastes produced by this industries are hazardous to the surroundings if it’s not handled with proper care. With the help of engineering study we can actually convert these wastes into something beneficial for us. Rather than just treating as wastes, utilizing them is a smart work in order to develop our society. Like in this research, we utilized the fluidized-bed waste in proper manner. In order to remove the impurities at the surface of metals they will dipped inside strong acids such as hydrochloric acid. At one point these acids will be contaminated with these metal steel wastes and need to be regenerated in order to be strong acids again. Fluidized-bed process will help to rejuvenate these acids and the by-product or waste from this process is what we utilized here. This waste (ferrosoferric oxide) in granular form is our raw material used for this research work. The concept is to come up with red pigment from this fluidized-bed waste by using a method called High Energy Blending and to study the effect of this blending process on colour properties of the red pigment derived. To analyze in detail about this iron oxide red pigment derived, certain steps were taken such as performing X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) technique, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) test and Chroma meter analysis. The work involved and results obtained is discussed in this thesis. 2023-05-03T15:18:41Z 2023-05-03T15:18:41Z 2020-09 https://irepository.uniten.edu.my/handle/123456789/20755 application/pdf
