Praveen Kumar Segaran GHG Inventory FYP 2 SEM 1 2019 / 2020 The aim of this research is to calculate and update the estimation of GHG Inventory for Industrial Product and Product Use (IPPU) Sector for inventory 2016. The calculated of emission level of greenhouse gases that are produced from IPPU sector is referred from the 2006 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Guidelines for estimations of the direct Greenhouse Gasses (GHG) such as carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (N2O). For the inventory year 2016, all sectors covered in this Final Report are Mineral Industry, Chemical Industry Metal Industry, Electronics Industry, Emissions of Fluorinated Substitutes for Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS) and Other Product Manufacture and Use. The activity data for carbon discharge estimation was assembled to help the future pros with taking an outrageous measure to put a stop on environmental change and a hazardous atmospheric warming. Among these sectors, the mineral industry has been the most preeminent carbon producer during the time 2016. There are two method that has been used in this final report based on 2006 IPCC Guidelines to calculate the emission factor and estimation. First would be Tier 1 approach which is the default emission factors and other parameters provided by the IPCC Guidelines (2006). The next method is Tier 2 applies discharge factors and different parameters which are explicit to the nation. Each and every tier that have referenced before are used dependent on the industries and its sub sectors. Most of the industries utilizes tier 1, for example, chemical industry, metal industry and electronic industry. In mineral industry, lime production and glass production use tier 1 strategy while cement production utilizes tier 2 method. Furthermore, the highest amount of CO2 equivalent discharged from mineral industry which is 9618.84 Gg. The lowest amount of CO2 equivalent has been observed from other product manufacture and use which is 90.11008 Gg. The lowest amount of CO2 equivalent has been observed from other product manufacture and use which is 90.11008 Gg. So as to represent exactness uncertainty analysis was performed, where the trend uncertainty acquired is 2.50%. To help the discharge estimation level, key category analysis was resolved and the outcome shows up there were 11 key sources. Time series was also plotted from year 1990 to 2016 to have a current information of emission level. 2023-05-03T15:05:14Z 2023-05-03T15:05:14Z 2019-10 https://irepository.uniten.edu.my/handle/123456789/20552 application/pdf
