It is particularly significant for decapod crustaceans that are taxonomically rich and among the most important fisheries resources in the South China Sea. This paper highlights the occurrence of decapod crustacean species from 8 km stretch of coastal waters of Tanjung Datu, Sarawak. Fourteen species from seven decapod crustacean families (13 brachyurans, 1 anomuran) are systematically documented for the first time along with their morphological characteristics and identification keys. This serves as useful information for future assessment of decapod crustacean diversity and fisheries resources in this area. Growth pattern and condition of six common species were estimated. The fisheries importance of the crabs was also provided.
